Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (R.A)
Allah (S.W.T) gifted Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (R.A) with many qualities, amongst them truthfulness and honesty being his (R.A) distinct features. He was from an honourable family of Quraish and a successful trader.
To shelter the widows and to help support the orphans was his routine. He (R.A) himself was free from the ills of ignorance and in Syrat-e-Halbiah it is mentioned, he never prostrated before idols. (Al-Syrat-ul-Nabwiah, p.179, Ahmed bin Zainy Dahlaan)
In the adolescence age, he (R.A) remained away from drinking and gambling. In spite of his richness he was immune to vanity and pride. Hazrat Abu Bakr (R.A) was a man of his words who always fulfilled his promises. He (R.A) was blessed with good manners and etiquettes.
Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (R.A) was magnificent and endeavouring. By his virtues, he commanded respect in the hearts of the people of Makkah, all the levels of society gave him (R.A) respect and honour. People always flocked together around him and to each he (R.A) behaved with respect and affection.
For his virtues and conduct, he had a larger circle of his friends from amongst the distinguished men of Makkah. The people had confidence and faith in him. For every important issue, people always turned to him and benefited from his wise counsels.
When Allah (S.W.T) honoured him (R.A) with faith and enlightened him (R.A) with the light of guidance, he (R.A) dedicated himself to invite others to the right path, taking them out of infidelity. Hazrat Abu Bakr (R.A) was also blessed with the honour of being the first adult male to accepted Islam.
He (R.A) preached Islam to his friends, consequent upon which a large number of important men of Makkah embraced Islam. These people performed such radiant deeds in the path of Islam that we can very easily assess how fruitful was the faith of Hazrat Abu Bakr (R.A) for Islam.
Sahabah Iqraam (R.A), such as; Hazrat Usman bin Affan, Hazrat Zubair bin Al-Awam, Hazrat Abdul Rehman bin Auf, Hazrat Saad bin Waqas, Hazrat Talhah bin Ubaidullah, Hazrat Abu Ubaidah bin Jarrah, Hazrat Abu Salamah bin Abdullah bin Asad, Hazrat Arqam bin Abi Arqam, Hazrat Uthman bin Mazu'n (R.A), and many more reverted to Islam by the efforts of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (R.A).
