Ramadan 2011 (Seeking The Truth)

The Parents of Holy Prophet (S.A.W)

It is a proven fact from the Holy Quran and AHadith that the parents of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W), Sayyiduna Abdullah (R.A) and Sayyidah Aamina (R.A) always had Imaan and left this world with Imaan.

The Noor of Rasoolullah (S.A.W) travelled from Hazrat Adam (A.S) to Hazrat Abdullah (R.A), in the family chain of those who always sincerely worshipped One Allah (S.W.T).

For those who say, Ma'azallah, that the parents of the Prophet (S.A.W) were non-believers, should think and ponder that if the parents of no other Prophet were non-believers, how then would the parents of the greatest of all Prophets be non-believers?

In the era in which the Holy Prophet’s (S.A.W) parent's lived, all that was required for Imaan was to affirm the true belief in the Oneness of Almighty Allah. Neither did they commit Kufr nor was their Imaan changed, so they cannot be regarded as Kafirs (non believers). They remained true Mu'mins in life.

The Holy Prophet (S.A.W) has said, “I have always been carried from the spines of pure fathers to the wombs of cleansed mothers.” (Masaalikul-Hunafaa, Pg.30)

It is stated in the Holy Quran, ‘The Mushriks are altogether unclean.’ (Al-Tauba, Verse 28)

The above Hadith with reference to the Ayah of Holy Quran substantiates that the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) has been carried along the best and most noble group. The revolution of His light (Noor) has always remained within clean and pure wombs.

Imaam Baihaqi (R.A), in Dalaailun-Nubuwwah, and Imaam Tibraani (R.A) in Mu’jame-Ausat narrates from Ummul-mu’mineen Sayyidah Aisha (R.A) that the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) has said, “Hazrat Jibraeel (A.S) has said to me, I have thoroughly searched the Wests and Easts of the world but could not find anyone more superior to Muhammad (S.A.W), neither anyone more distinguished than the Banu Haashim in genealogy”. (Ar-Risaailut-Tis’aa, Pg.34)

Imaam Suyuti (R.A) states, The Hadith proves that the forefathers of Rasoolullah (S.A.W) from Hazrat Adam (A.S) to Hazrat Abdullah (R.A) were the most excellent and that there was none more superior to them in their respective times. (Ar-Risaailut-Tis’aa, Pg.31)

Based on the above discussion it can clearly be seen that the parents (R.A) of Rasoolullah (S.A.W) were Mumins and pure personalities, belonging to a pious and highly ranked family genealogy.
