1157 Can we read Surah Fateha more than once in Namaaz or does the Surah have to be different?
Surah Fateha is Wajib in Qiyaam and hence repeating it would conflict with the Wajib. Therefore one should recite an alternative Surah from the Holy Quran Shareef.

If Surah Fateha is recited twice in one Rakaat one needs to do Sajda Sahv to correct the mistake of conflict in the Wajib.
