358 I have been asked by my mother to go on Hajj with her and my father. My mother's health is not good and my father feels that I could look after her there as men and women can be separated. However I am separated from my husband who left me 3 years ago. He has not contacted me or tried to reconcile/ or divorce. Can I complete Hajj without his permission? I don't know if I could even face up to ask him.

359 When intending to go for Hajj and/or ummah what kind of things do you need to do in preparation? e.g. discharging debts, making amends with family members. Does this apply to family members who have not had contact with me for years after an engagement break up? As a result of which all ties have been broken. In this case is it feasible for me to contact the person who broke up our engagement. I feel that time has passed and I have my own life and don’t feel any resentment towards him. But I don't know if this is the same on his part. In that case will my Hajj and umrah be accepted?

360 I am planning to go to Hajj/Umrah. However lots of people say to me that as I have grown daughters and sons that are marriageable age I should not really go until I have fulfilled my duties towards them (Get them married ). What does Islam say about this? Does this mean both my wife and I can't go? Does this apply to both Hajj and Umrah? Thank you.

379 With regard to question 360 does that apply also if that person has already completed Hajj. The fact of leaving marriageable daughters behind and completing Hajj? Is it permissible.

387 Whilst at hajj, I have come across a lot of people who beg on the streets. They use all the same lines to entice people to give them money (e.g. we came for work and found nothing, lost our passport etc). They are capable of work but choose to beg as they earn more and it is easy money. Are we sinful if we don’t give them money even though they ask in the name of Allah (S.W.T) and the Holy Prophet (S.A.W)? Also if each time you come out of the hotel and start giving money to the beggars who stand outside waiting for you, you will be financially struggling yourself (as the money you take with you is also limited). What are you supposed to do in these circumstances?

398 Can a woman go to Hajj with a man who she says "is like my son" as her sons have refused to go with her? Also if that man has been told by a Religious Scholar that it is fine to do so does he receive Gunnah? Or is that on the head of the Religious Scholar? Can you clarify who a woman can go to Hajj with? Also a divorced woman can she go to Hajj/Umrah with her nephew/brother?

404 Can you please tell me if Eid-ul-Adha is always a day after Hajj. If so, why have Muslims around the world celebrated this two days later? I have tried to research the answer to the questions but I have not found any justifiable reason. Please shine some light on this area.

658 On QTV Mufti Akmal said that Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) is buried in Makkah Shareef inside the Hathem. I would like to ask that if they are buried there, thousand of people read Nafl in the Hathem. Are they sinners, and what should the Haji's do about this as they say that whilst there, it’s like standing in Jannah (Paradise).

782 I want to go for Hajj or Umrah, but I was told that if I have daughters that are eligible for marriage but are not married, then I cannot go for Hajj. Do they have to be married before I can go to Hajj? Somebody else has told me that your Hajj will be Fard on you if you have the capital, which I have Subhanallah. Is this true? Please clear up both issues many thanks

826 My question is regarding Hajj which I wish to perform for my father who has passed away. My father lived in Pakistan all his life and since I am settled here in the UK I would like to know that when I go to perform hajj for my father do I need to travel from Pakistan or can I travel from the UK. I look forward to your answer.

983 What is the difference between 'Umrah' & 'Hajj'? How do you perform 'Umrah', and how do you perform 'Hajj'? Is it easy or hard? Can it be done in one day? Also are there any further books I can read on these two topics?

1274 I am going Umrah next Friday I know that the Ihram is not the 2 clothes (for Men) you wrap around your body but it is a state does that state start once you’ve made Niyyah. If I say Niyaah today does that mean I'm in a state of Ihram and can't do anything that breaks the condition until Umrah is completed JazakAllah khair
