1214 Is Fasting on Eid day permissible. And also can one fast every Friday?
As it is a day of showing thanks to Allah (S.W.T) for His blessings and favours, all the Scholars agree that it is forbidden to Fast on Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.

As for Jumaah, this is also considered an Eid, in the words of the Prophet (S.A.W). If a person Fasts on Friday with the intention that he is commemorating Jumaah by Fasting then this is forbidden. If he is doing it for other reasons, like as part of the six additional fasts of Shawwal, then there is no prohibition.
