1235 Is claiming benefits, such as child benefit / housing benefit etc Haram? Also is it Haram to claim child benefits if you able to work?
If the benefit you are claiming for is actually what you are entitled to receive, then there is no problem in you claiming it. Bearing in mind it is not claimed under false pretenses or deception.
