Dosron k ayeb talash karny ke moashrti nuqsan ki list btainy? Interpretation: How is society effected when finding the faults of other? |
||
There are a lot of factors that constitute to cause destruction within the community at large. Finding faults being one of them. We have covered a wide range in our Ramadan 2014 Topics, which we request you visit. As you asked mainly about finding faults of others, I will refer to this subject using the information from our Ramadan 2014 Topics : Who are you to Judge? Everywhere you look you would see people quick to judge others. Trying to find their faults, to amplify and make them common knowledge. Deeming others to be the ones who will be destined for Allah (S.W.T)’s wrath. Not only that, but they also like to spread rumors and if one wants to change they continue to backbite and bring up incidents from the past, hindering them to repent. As a result, destroys the motivation of the individual who wants to change. Whilst these individuals are busy weighing up other peoples faults and finding it fruitful to highlight their downfalls, they remain distant to the fact that they too will be accountable to the same Creator (S.W.T). Don’t judge someone just because they sin differently to you. Don’t be quick to judge people because they do things different to you. There was a time when you didn’t know what you know today. Judging others doesn’t define who they are, it defies who you are. Let the refining and improving of your own life keep you so busy that you have little time to criticise others. It is mentioned in AHadith Shareef that, the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W) ascended to the pulpit and addressed in a loud voice, “O assembly (of the people), who have accepted Islam with your tongues, but faith has not reached their hearts, do not annoy the Muslims, or abuse them, or seek out their faults, because he who seeks out the faults of his Muslim brother; Allah (S.W.T) will seek out his faults and he whose faults are sought out by Allah will be exposed by Him, even though he be in the interior of his house.” (Tirmizi, 4821/17) What a beautiful Hadith, to put things into perspective, basically by judging others you energise pride and start thinking you are pious, which results in destruction. As Muslims we need to constantly do our own check and balance rather than evaluate others. We need to ask ourselves, Do we follow the commands of Allah (S.W.T)? Am I living by the Sunnah? If not then focus on this instead of spending time on things that do not concern us. (Answered by: Hafiz Mohammed Akhtar) | |||
