176 A husband and wife are both reading their individual namaz in the same room. Is the namaz of the husband excepted if his masala is placed behind the masala of his wife and viseversa?
According to the Hanafi School the man can not read behind a woman, i.e. if she is directly in front of him. Imam Abu Hanifa RA says that this will break the mans concentration hence his prayer is invalid, while the woman can pray behind her husband.
