Ask The Imam Question and Answer

574 I have been told that the Huthbi Tara, is the place where the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) was before their Bashriath form to this world. Or more so as the story goes where the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) asked Hazret Jibrail (A.S) how old are they. They replied that I am not aware of my age but I can tell you that there is this star, which sets for 70 thousand years then rises again for 70 Thousand years. I have seen it 72 Thousand times. Where by the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) replied that star you’ve seen was me. Could you tell me if this story is fact or fiction?

Also we are told that you should not place your feet in the direction of the Huthbi Thara (i.e. the direction is at right hand side whist facing Mecca).

What is the significant of this if any?
This is not just a story it is a fact that Hazrat Jibraeel (A.S) saw the star and that star was the Blessed Prophet (S.A.W). But the Tara (star) is different to one you mention.

Qutbi Tara is visible every night, so if this is referring to RasoolAllah (S.A.W) after his coming to this world the star should not be visible now since has come to this world and now rest in Roza Mubarak in Madina Shareef.

People in certain parts of the world do not place their feet in the direction towards Madina Shareef as well as Qibla out of respect. The issue you mention with the star is out of our knowledge, but a star would be in the sky rather then earthly directions.
