958 | How is the Sajda done for the Quran, What’s the Niyat etc? | ||
Whilst in the standing position, with the arms to the side (Qawma Position), the Niyath is to be said. The Niyath is in other words your intension. So one can simply say that, he is performing Sajda Talawet e Quran and then recite Allah Hu Akbar. It is important that the ears (or shoulders if performed by women) are not touched (like that in normal Namaz) but to go straight down to the Sajda position (Prostration). Once in the Sajda position recite: Subhaana Rab-biyal A'laa, (Three times) and then simply stand back up, after having only performed one Sajda. Your Sajda e Talawat has been performed.
