976 | Is being a Freemason allowed in Islam? | ||
Muslims are taught to fulfil the very reason for their creation, Ibada (Worship). All time and effort should be geared towards this goal. Secondly, membership in Islam is based on one Ummah, the global, all-encompassing bond that unites all Muslims. Thirdly, Muslims are advised to ‘leave that which does not concern them’, in the words of our Beloved Prophet (S.A.W). On this basis, there is no reason for a Muslim to aspire to be a freemason.
