I intake 2 types of herbal medicine for my health. One which is called Echinacea and the other St Johns Wort.
Echinacea is made from herbs which are extracted using alcohol and water to capture active constituents. The alcohol is then removed, leaving a very small residue.
St Johns Wort is made in the same way as Echinacea but all alcohol is removed from it.
My question is that are we allowed to use these medicines when alcohol is used in making them (even though it is not the alcohol as we know it)? |

We do not have specific days to do Khutum / Dua and when mentioned to a family member she accused me of being a wahaabi.
Can you tell me, Is Thursday a special day to do Khutum and why? And is it permissible to do an annual Khutum specifically for a deceased family member on the day they died? I was told that you can/should do Khutum to thank god anytime you like and NOT to hold a specific day i.e. Thursday ( a lot of my family do Khutum on Thursdays) - and if you do not, does this make you a wahaabi? |

I have been told by someone that whilst performing Namaz, if you dont read
1. Darood shareef in the sitting position after Athiyath your Namaz is still valid?
2. If a person by choice does not read Rabi Jaalani and gives salaam and finishes off, is the Namaz valid?
3. I have also been told that to finish the Namaz off by giving salaam whilst turning your head to each shoulder is not compulsory to end your Namaz, is this true ? |
