Eid-ul-Fitr
After the Blessed month of Ramadan (Fasting) comes to an end, the month of Shawwal starts.
The First day of Shawwaal is called Eid-ul-Fitr. This is a time of rejoicing for the Muslims.
There are 12 Sunnah for the day of Eid-ul-Fitr, These being:
- To wake up early in the morning.
- To take a bath (Ghusl).
- To clean the teeth with Miswaak.
- To wear the best cloths that you have.
- To use perfume.
- To give Sadqa-e-Fitr before going to read Eid Namaz.
- To eat something sweet (like dates) before going to pray Eid Namaz.
- To go to the Eid Gaah (Place where Eid is read) early.
- To walk to the Eid Gaah.
- To offer Eid prayer in the Eid Gaah.
- To go to the Eid Gaah by one way and to come back another way.
- To recite the following Taqbeer slowly on the way to the Eid Gaah.
“Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Laa ilaaha illallahu Wallahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Wa lillahil Hamd."
"Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest. There is no deity besides Allah and Allah is the greatest. Allah is the greatest and all praises are for Allah only."
