The Prophet (S.A.W)’s Expertise (Part 3)
Holy Prophet (S.A.W) performed miracles beyond human and science comprehension. Hazrat Al-Qadi Iyad (R.A) reports that Habib ibn Fudayk’s father suffered from blindness in old age. The Prophet (S.A.W) blew in his eyes. His eyesight returned. Habib reports that he saw his father insert a thread into a needle at the age of eighty. (Al-Shifa, al-Qadi Iyad, p. 200)
Hazrat Qatada (R.A) was amongst the great Companions of the Beloved Prophet (S.A.W), who sacrificed everything for the cause of Islam.
Once Hazrat Qatada (R.A) was participating in battle, where He (R.A) was shooting arrows. Suddenly he saw the Beloved Prophet (S.A.W) behind him. Seeing this, Hazrat Qatada (R.A) changed his direction and was trying to defend Rasoolullah (S.A.W), so that no arrow may reach the Holy Prophet (S.A.W).
Unfortunately an arrow hit Hazrat Qatada's (R.A) eye. The eye socket was badly damaged. It was damaged to such an extent that the eyeball was hanging loose. Holy Prophet (S.A.W) placed the eyeball in the socket of the eye and prayed to Allah (S.W.T): "O Allah grant Qatada beauty because he has been sacrificing his face for the face of your Prophet."
When the Beloved Prophet (S.A.W) removed His blessed hand, the injured eye had become more handsome than the other eye and even its eyesight had improved. More over the other eye did at times become sick or sore but the eye touched by the compassionate hand never ever suffered.
In the battle of Badr, Hazrat Ali (R.A) was cured of a sore which he had in his eye by the blessed Saliva of Holy Prophet (S.A.W) being placed on it. (Bukhari Shreeff, Vol.1, page 525)
When Hazrat Abdullah bin Ateeq (R.A) fractured his leg and came to
Rasoolallah (S.A.W) after killing the notorious Jew, Abu Raafi, it became healed as soon as Holy Prophet (S.A.W) placed his blessed hands on it.(Bukhari Shareef, Vol.2, page 577)
