Ramadan 2007 (Seerat-e-Mustufa (S.A.W))

Blessed Hair of Rasoolullah (S.A.W)

It is described in “Naseem-ul- Riaz” that Adeem Ibne Zahir Alvi had the Blessed Hair of the Beloved Prophet (S.A.W), which numbered to about fourteen.

He offered these blessed hairs as a gift to the head of Halab, who had a great love for Alvis. The head of Halab accepted with great respect and honour. After some time had passed, when the Alvi met the head, he did not behave towards him in a proper way and showed his displeasure.

On asking the cause of his anger, the head of Halab told that the hair gifted to him, had been wrongly attribute to the Prophet (S.A.W) according to his information.

The Alvi asked for the hair to be brought back. So, the hair were brought and a fire was kindled. The hair were put into the fire, which became more beautiful instead of getting burnt. Seeing this, the head of Halab changed his view and treated the Alvi with more respect than before and presented offering to him. This was the miracle of the Prophet (S.A.W) that the fire did not make any effect on their hair.

Cloth Safe from Fire

Another miracle relating to the fire is mentioned in the “Mathnavi” of Maulana Ruum which is translated thus: “A person stayed as a guest with Hazrat Anas bin Malik (R.A). The guest stated this event that Hazrat Anas (R.A) saw, after the food had been served, that the table cloth had spots and stains of soup and fat, etc on it.

Hazrat Anas (R.A) sent for the female servant and asked her to put the table cloth into the oven for sometime. The female servant did accordingly. All the guests were waiting for the burning of the table cloth and smell of burning of fat at that time, but to their surprise the table cloth became absolutely spotless and stainless instead of burning away.
She took out white and clean table cloth from the oven as if it was put into a cauldron. Getting astonished, the people enquired from Hazrat Anas (R.A), what was the reality about t that the cloth could not catch fire.

Hazrat Anas (R.A) described the reality and told them that the Prophet (S.A.W) used to wipe His blessed face with this very cloth. The result is that this cloth remains safe from burning and getting effect of fire.
