The Pure Body
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (R.A) relates that Rasoolullah’s (S.A.W) body was white in colour and it seemed as if it was cast in sliver. (Shamaail Tirmidhi, pg.2)
Hazrat Anas (R.A) relates, “The blessed body of Rasoolullah (S.A.W) was extremely soft and delicate. I had felt many clothes made of silk yet none compare to the softness of the Prophet’s (S.A.W) blessed body, which would give off a fragrance better than anything else.” (Bukhari Shareef vol.1, pg. 503)
Hazrat Ka’ba bin Mailk (R.A) relates, “When the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) was happy, his face became so illuminated that it seemed as though it was a piece of the moon, from this we understood that Rasoolullah (S.A.W) was pleased.” (Bukhari Shareef, vol.1, pg. 502)
The Holy Prophet (S.A.W) did not have a Shadow
Hakeem Tirmidhi (R.A) in his book “Nawaadirul-Usool” relates from Hazrat Zakwaan Taabi’ee (R.A) that Rasoolullah (S.A.W) blessed body did not have a shadow in the radiance of the sun or in the brightness of the moon.
The Holy Prophet’s (S.A.W) Height
Hazrat Anas (R.A) relates that Rasoolullah (S.A.W) was neither very tall nor very short, but medium in height. His blessed body was the perfection of beauty and, when he used to walk, he would bend in humility. (Shamaail Tirmidhi, Pg. 1)
Hazrat Anas (R.A) relates a similar Hadith regarding the holy Prophet’s (S.A.W) height, further saying, when the Prophet (S.A.W) used to walk, it seemed as if he was coming down from an higher place. Never had I seen anyone equal to him before, and never did I after him. (Shamaail Tirmidhi, Pg. 1)
All Sahabah (R.A) agree that the Prophet (S.A.W) was medium in height, yet considering this, it is also a miracle of Prophet (S.A.W) that his blessed head was the most high and visible in even a gathering of thousands of people.
