Illuminated Eyes
Both eyes of Rasoolullah (S.A.W) were big with eyelashes long and dense. His pupils were deep black with a slight red lining in the whiteness of both eyes. (Shamaail Tirmidhi, Pg. 2)
A unique quality of Rasoolullah’s (S.A.W) eyes were that their vision was the same whether they looked forward, back, left, right, at night or day and in darkness or in light. (Zarqaani ala-Mawaahib, Vol. 5, Pg. 246 & Al-Khasaaisul-Kubra, Vol. 1, Pg. 61)
Rasoolullah’s (S.A.W) vision did not only stop at physical objects but saw beyond objects and emotions that can’t be seen or felt by human senses.
The Mubarak Neck
Hazrat Hind bin Haala (R.A) states, that the Holy Prophet’s (S.A.W) neck was well-built, proportioned correctly, beautiful and as clean as silver. (Shamaaill Tirmidhi, Pg.2)
Rasoolullah’s (S.A.W) Ears
Like his blessed eyes, the Prophet (S.A.W) blessed ears had a similar miraculous qualities, therefore he himself states, “I see those things that you do not and hear those things that you do not.” (Al-Khasaaisul-Kubra, Vol. 1, Pg. 67)
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (R.A) narrates, “We were present in the company of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W); suddenly Rasoolullah (S.A.W) heard a sound.
He asked his companions about the nature of the sound. The companions replied that only Allah and his Rasool know.
Then the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) said, “This is the sound of a stone that had been thrown in to the hell seventy years ago and now it has reached the bottom of the hell.” (Sahih Muslim, Vol. 2, Pg. 381)
The above Hadith proves that the sense of sight and hearing of Rasoolullah (S.A.W) were miraculous and matchless, and that he was able to hear sounds near and far alike.
