Ramadan 2006 (Sunnah : The Perfect Example)

Sunnah of Entering the Mosque (Part 1)

Dua for entering the Mosque:
Whilst entering the mosque, the following Dua should be recited:

‘Allah-hummaf Tahlee Abwaba Rahmatik’
Meaning:
‘O Almighty Allah, open for me the doors of mercy’

Best place on earth:
Hazrat Abu Umamah (R.A) narrates that the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) said,“The worst places are the markets and the best are the Mosques”.

Nowadays people tend to spend more time in the town centres and market places, and spend minimal time where the mercy of Allah (S.W.T) descends and where you get peace of mind.

Good deeds replace the Sins:
Hazrat AbdAllah bin Umar (R.A) reported the beloved Prophet (S.A.W) saying, “When anyone walks to a mosque for congregational prayer (prayer with Jammat), each of his steps obliterates one of his sins replacing it good deed, both whilst going and returning”. (Tabrani)

Worldly Talk:
Do not indulge in worldly talk, except in extreme necessity.
Rasoolullah (S.A.W) said, “Gossiping about worldly matters eats up good deeds as fire eats up fuel”.

One Hadith states that, when one begins talking about worldly matters in the mosque, the angels say to him, “O friend of Allah be quiet”, if he talks again, they say, “Enemy of Allah be silent”, and if he talks again they say “Allah’s curse be upon you! Hold your tongue!”

House in Paradise:
Hazrat Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri (R.A) reported that Holy Prophet (S.A.W) said,“For anyone removed from a mosque anything that was causing trouble to men (such as rubbish lying on the floor), Allah (S.W.T) will build a house for him in Paradise”.   (Ibn Majah)
