Ramadan 2006 (Sunnah : The Perfect Example)

Waking Up

Dua for waking up:

The Holy Prophet (S.A.W) would wake up in the middle of the night and would recite the following Dua:

Alhamdu-Lillahilladhee Ahyaanaa Ba’da-Maa-Amaa-Tanaa Wailaihin Nushoor

Meaning:

All praises are due to Almighty Allah who has given us life, after taking it away. And to Him is our raising (on the Day of Resurrection).

Rubbing the palms of the hands on the face:

Soon after waking up, rub both palms of your hands on the face and eyes, so that sleep disappears. Then recite Bismillah three times, blow on your palms, and wipe your palms on the body. Inshallah, the devil will not trouble you throughout the day.

Saved from the punishment of the grave:

If a person makes a habit of reciting Kalima-e-Shahadah (2nd Kalimah) after waking up, Inshallah when woken up in the grave, after passing away, as a habit the Shahadah will be on one’s tongue and he will be saved from the punishment of the grave.

Manners of waking up

  • To rub the eyes with the palms of the hands three times.
  • To recite the Dua of waking up, and Kalimah Shahadah
  • To wash the hands before doing anything.
  • To perform Miswaak.
  • He who recites ‘Ya Khaliq’ (the Creator) 100 times daily for seven days continuously, will be free from calamities. Inshallah.

One who recites this name regularly, his face will always be shining.
